Thank you to Celina High School students and staff who assisted with the Car Wash for the Red Cross in cooperation with the Service Learning Day on April 23rd at Bella’s Italian Grille. The event was a bubbling good time and raised $290!!

Cayla has selected the American Red Cross as her platform for the pageant .

Ellen Bryan is also from Mercer County and will be competing for Miss Ohio as well. Ellen has also been supportive of our chapter. The Red Cross is grateful and wish her luck as well!
CONGRATULATIONS & BEST WISHES to the reigning Miss Ohio, Erica Gelhaus! Erica has assisted with several Red Cross blood drives & other events during this past year! Erica is an awesome person to work with and our chapter is grateful for her support and dedication!
The American Red Cross Mercer County Chapter is grateful for the support & generosity of all three of these ladies. Their positive attitudes, intelligence, beauty, grace, & spirit of volunteerism is truly an awesome reflection of Mercer County people!

Aquatics Classes
Water Safety Instructor Classes (WSI)
June 21-July 2nd from 8AM-noon at Coldwater Pool.
Cost $175
(Teaches lifeguards to teach swim lessons at the pool & must be 16)
Anyone that is interested in the following classes, please call the office
Lifeguard Instructor Classes
(Teaches Lifeguards to teach others to become a Lifeguard,
must be at least 17 years old and have LG certificate)
Instructor Trainer "I-T"
(Teaches Instructors to teach others how to become instructors for LG, CPR etc
The "I -T" class is necessary to teach guards to be Water Safety Instructors.
CONGRATULATIONS~ to Coldwater Memorial Pool lifeguards
~~KRISTY SCHAEFER & KYLE BERGMAN ~~
who utilized their Lifeguard and CPR training that they received from the Red Cross to resuscitate a young girl at the pool who nearly drowned. The lifeguards’ heroic, quick actions saved the young girls life. She is expected to make a full recovery! Great Job!!
Disaster Services Classes

This class introduces potential disaster volunteers and members of other local agencies to the role of the Red Cross
in the community’s actions in preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies and disasters.
